AND IGNITE YOUR BONES
- - - - AND I WILL TRY TO FIX YOU
Justin was more then a little drunk. As he staggered out of some club he didn’t even recognise, the cold air just made him feel sick. Not one of his best ideas he had to admit, especially as he had work the next day. Oh well he was pretty sure he had a free period first thing. As he staggered down the street towards his house the horrible feeling in his stomach suddenly became all too real and he found himself crouched over some bushes, being sick. He continued a few steps further before falling to the ground, slouching against a cool wall. There was no doubt about it now. He had definitely had way too much to drink. His vision was blurry and he just felt terrible. It had been exactly 6 months since his parents had died, to the day, and Justin had needed alcohol. He had needed to find a way to numb the pain and not do something he’d regret. He had been doing so well. He’d been the happiest he had been for a while. With his new job he felt like he was actually working towards something, doing something positive with his life. But today, he just couldn’t cope and his only source of release? Alcohol.
His eyes felt heavy with sleep but the coolness of the air against his face was warning him that he couldn’t stay there the night. He really needed to get to his house, to his warm bed, where it was safe. But right now that felt like miles away for Justin. Justin pulled his legs into his chest, burying his head in them, just wishing the pain, sickness and everything would just go away. Tears started to fall down his face as everything suddenly got on top of him. He just wanted to be home. He just wanted to be able to ring up his Dad and ask him to come and pick him up. But there was no-one waiting for him at home. No-one on the other end of the phone to pick him up when he was down. No-one who could care for him.
