ROMANCE:
Mikhail isn't the type to be comfortable with casual relationships, or purely sexual ones. When he likes someone he really likes them, and he's honest, so he'll probably let them know soon after figuring it out for himself. He usually figures that the worst thing that can happen is they say no, though he's usually more flippant about that option in theory than he is in practice. When in a relationship, Mik is devoted, loyal, and supremely caring. He's also most likely going to treat the other person like they're breakable, since...well, Mik's had some nasty incidents with hurting people he loves in the past. He really needs someone that he can take care of and love utterly without having to pretend to be nonchalant or disinterested in the level of relationship he really wants. Because a past girlfriend cheated on him, he tends to be jealous and possessive, and is a bit terrified of something of the sort happening again.

FRIENDSHIP:
Mikhail is a generally friendly person, and charming in a guileless way that isn't really trying to be all that charming. Because of his anger issues he's often nervous about getting close to new people, but he can't stop himself from craving companionship and friendship, so he tries to brave it and just hopes he doesn't hurt anyone. In a friend, he needs someone that can calm him down when he goes into one of his fits (potentially by punching him in the face, that would help), people to just sort of hang out with and fool around, and people who he can share a very close, can-tell-each-other-anything-and-be-like-brothers friendship with. He's got three brothers himself, so he tends to adopt people as sort of substitutes, and has a lot of big brother instincts of his own. He's very protective of his friends, so if you're bullied a lot, he's a good ally to have. Keep in mind that his protectiveness usually manifests as a fit, though, and be careful.

ENEMIES:
I can see Mikhail making a few enemies, either because he took issue with something someone did, or they took issue with him. Mik's got a pretty strong set of morals and doesn't approve of bullying in any capacity, so he'd be pretty set against anyone that made a habit of hurting others, and, again, he's fiercely protective of those he cares about, so he would not get along with someone that went after a friend or lover of his. He's fairly forgiving, so amends could be made, but there are some lines that just cannot be crossed without repercussions. Don't touch Cameron Christiansen.

I'm fairly open to any other ideas out there! Mik's got three older brothers, so if one of them wound up being a teacher at St. Helena's, that would be interesting. He also needs a roommate.

He's also going to have some pretty intense sessions with his therapist if I can help it all, as Mik's actually here because he wants to get better, rather than because his family sent him away.

Obviously, they both have their drawbacks related to the reason they're at St. Helena's, but I think that when they're in the correct mindset, they could be friendly. You're probably right in thinking that they'd be hesitant at first, but I think they could eventually be good friends, and maybe Mik would even come to Asylum for advice and such sometimes. c:

Jamika would find Mikhail to be adorable. Like, ohmygod skalhkdjhsdf. Though she wouldn't really find him sexually appealing (which I think is a good thing) that wouldn't be a big enough of an excuse for Jamika to not wanna hang out with him.

However, even though I'd like to say they could be bros or something, Jamika is still mentally unstable and dangerous to be around and, unlike Mikhail, that doesn't stop her from trying to hang out with people, which in ways makes her even more dangerous to befriend since she doesn't exactly give anyone a heads up about it either. So I'm not exactly sure how Mikhail would act around her. Because of Jamika's tendency to be violent, maybe it can kind of hinder their relationship, having more of an acquaintanceship if anything. Or maybe because she shows a lack of remorse for her violent actions or can be terribly insensitive it turns him away from Jamika completely? Or maybe Mikhail would still like to be friends with her, but still be cautious and keep his distance? Or maybe because Jamika has the same violent reaction when feeling angry, it can be some form of comfort to Mikhail that at least someone else is going through something like him (though both handling it in completely different ways)? This all depends on how much Mik knows about the way Jamika treats people! Personally, I really like the character, so I'd prefer for them to be friendly, but if her nastiness got back to him somehow it'd be over really easily.
