History: Amaranda was the second child of Annalee and Dante Duvall, second to the son, and heir, Cael Duvall who was 6 years her elder. Even at a young age, Amaranda understood the difference between herself and her brother. He always got the praise, and she was always told "see how your brother does this"? And told to immulate him. She was not some feminine copy of her brother to be raised in someone's shadow. Even as a toddler, she didn't like coming in second to anyone.

When Amaranda was four, her brother became inexplicably ill. He became weakened and could hardly manage to get out of bed. At nine himself, this was something rather unusual, and their parents couldn't explain why Cael had suddenly become so deathly ill. Erratic heartbeats and even, on occasion, succumbing to seizures. Amaranda had grown tired of being in Cael's shadow, and when he'd started learning more than her in school, it had only further enraged Amaranda at the amount of praise her brother was receiving.

When Amaranda was five, her brother Cael died from a cardiac arrest, and even trained doctors were unable to find a reason as to why a child so previously healthy became so ill so quickly and died as a result of the unexplained illness. But now, Amaranda was happy, because having lost one child, her parents were ever-more doting upon her. Spoiling her as if to make up for the loss of one child, and as she reached the age of nine herself, they were relieved when she made it to her tenth birthday without contracting the same mysterious disease that had taken Cael.

When Amaranda was eleven, her parents decided that Cael's death was a simple tragedy, nothing malevolent and just something to do with bad luck, and so Annalee got pregnant again with their third child. At first, Amaranda was unconcerned, after all, now the child was living in her shadow, as she had lived in Cael's. Unfortunately, because she was older than Cael had been, they doted more upon the baby, claiming that her new baby brother, whom they named Icarus, was helpless and thus needed them more than she did. Unfortunately, before Icarus's first birthday, he was taken by the same mysterious disease that had killed Cael. Icarus only lasted a month before the infant was gone.

Figuring that the strange disease was striking out at the male decendants, Annale and Dante decided simply that perhaps they should have another daughter. After much trying, they became pregnant with their fourth child, and as luck would have it, it was a girl. But tragedy just seemed to continue to strike the Duvall's, for their youngest daughter, at just 3 months old, had somehow escaped from her playpen and gotten through an open door in the house outside... where the helpless infant was then brutally mauled by some unknown animal. After that, Amaranda was even more prized, their soul child to survive, and she was rarely allowed around any animals, for Annalee and Dante feared a repeat of the death of their youngest daughter.

By the time that Amaranda had reached her teenage years, her parents were still treating her like the proper miracle child that she was, however because she was now the only heir to a rather large Beverly Hills estate, she was expected to behave a certain way and to do certain things. So when she was found naked in bed with someone else, not only was it unexceptable, it was just downright wrong, because the person that was in bed with Amaranda, and equally as naked, was another girl. Determined to 'fix' the heir of their estate, they submitted her into St. Helena's for sex addiction, for what else could possibly be wrong with her? There was no way that the Duvalls could have produced something as unnatural as a lesbian, could they?[/justify][/blockquote][/size]
