Requiem aeternam, dona eis, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat, luceat... [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: B8B8B8; border: #550505 solid 4px; width: 400px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] Ember poked her head inside the auditorium quietly to see if any one was in there before slipping all the way through the door and closing it behind her. She walked down the aisle past rows and rows of seats. It was a couple hours after school and not many students were still in the building, so she figured it would be safe to practice some of the music for choir here. She had been brought to the St. Helena later in the school year and was rather behind on the music. The only reason she had gotten into chamber choir was because the teacher had gotten a recondition from her voice teacher back home, if it hadn't been for that she would have been stuck in mixed choir which was too triggering for her to handle. She stopped at the front of the auditorium and sat her bag down on a chair. The only problem with having to practice though was finding a place where she could when no one else was around, which was more complicated than it seemed when this was a school for troubled teens and they hardly ever left you alone. She had been trying to find a place to practice for a little over a week now with no luck. Ember unzipped her bag and pulled out a folder full of sheet music that the choir director had given her the first day she had gone to class. She was happy that there was a couple songs that she already knew, so she didn't have to practice as much to catch up with the rest of the class.
She walked up on stage and sat her music on the piano that had been left there luckily. She took out the first song she didn't know and sat it on top of the closed folder. It was a rather large classical piece called Requiem by Gabriel Fauré. It was 72 pages long, printed front and back, had seven movements, and was written completely in Latin. "Fun..." she whispered to herself sarcastically. She really liked challenges but this was a bit insane for her to try to learn by herself, even if she was an amazing sight reader. Ember played the first note of the first movement, Introit and Kyrie, and began to sing, and then shut out the world as she slowly got lost in the music.

((I'll make it pretty and find an outfit later.))
The halls were eerily quiet as she walked down them since classes had ended a few hours before. The only noises were her footsteps and the quiet music coming from the headphones that rested around her neck. Skylar wandered through the now familiar hallways, occasionally looking into one of the rooms that she had class in earlier that day. Sky had forgotten one of her folders somewhere and she needed to find it because it had her homework in it. After she had looked in five different rooms, Sky peered into the window of the sixth room she had come across and saw a purple folder resting on the little tray below the white board. A victorious smile appeared on her face as she tried the handle and found it unlocked. Sky slipped into the room and quickly crossed over to her folder. She took it and turned around to walk out when she noticed Miss Lawrence sitting at her desk watching her. Sky waved slightly. “I left my folder here, sorry.” She said quickly before leaving the room.
After the door closed behind her, Sky stuffed her folder into her messenger bag and walked back down the almost silent hallway. When she turned, Sky faintly heard music that wasn't coming from her iPod. She followed the sound and came to a stop in front of the doors of the auditorium. Standing there for a few seconds, she recognized the language that the song was in as Latin and then recognized the song as one of the pieces that she heard some of the kids in Chamber Choir singing a few days ago. Placing her hand on the doorknob, Skylar turned it and pushed the door open as slowly as she could so it wouldn't make a noise. Once the gap was large enough for her to fit, she slipped through it and into the auditorium before slowly closing it again behind her.
Sky looked around the room and quickly spotted the source of the music sitting behind the piano. She couldn't really make out the girl very well due to the distance so she didn't know if it was someone she knew or not. The only thing she knew was that whoever the other girl was, she was an amazing singer. Sky didn't really want to interrupt the other girl's singing, so she just leaned against the wall and listened.

(Let's just pretend it's been several hours and sky stayed the last hour if that's okay.)
Ember continued to sing through the different movements but then just as she was about to get to the end of the last movement she messed up the notes. Every time she went over those few notes she messed up and this was around the sixth time. She half sang half screamed out in her frustration and hit her hand against the piano keys. "I GIVE UP!" she yelled and decided it was time to go back to her dorm for the night. She could only learn so much in one night and if had been several hours since she had started. She probably wasn't even suppose to be out of her dorm right now. She stood up from the piano and put her music back in the folder before walking off stage to her bag. She looked at the clock on the wall that read ten o'clock. "Well, I'm going to be tired tomorrow. Thank goodness it's a Saturday." She said to herself as she put her folder back in her bag and picked it up off the chair.
Just as she was walking up the isle of the auditorium she caught something blue and moving out of the corner of her eye and jumped in surprise with a small squeak. She turned all the way towards it and saw a blue haired girl that looked maybe around her age watching her. "I-I-I didn't know anyone else was in here. When did you get here? Did you hear me, well of course you heard me, but why are you here?" she half yelled at the girl without meaning to. Between the adrenalin rush she got from practicing and how late it was she was a bit more skittish than usual, and she really hoped she didn't scare the girl or make her hate her now because of this. She really was just surprised that someone else was there with her.

Sky ended up moving to the seat closest to the isle in the last row after standing for about thirty minutes or so. She had decided to see how long it would take for the other girl to notice that she was there. Sighing, she pulled out her folder and started working on her algebra homework. Every so often, Sky would take her phone out and look at the time. The last time she looked at the screen, about fifty minutes had passed.
Sky looked up when the girl missed a note and backtracked a little bit. She sang it again and made the same mistake again. This process was repeated about four or five more times. The girl seemed to become more and more frustrated each time. She finally half-screamed out the line and slammed her hands on the piano keys, making a noise that made her wince. “I GIVE UP!” the other girl yelled. Sky watched as she grabbed her folder and walked off of the stage.
Sky swung her legs around so that she would be sitting normally in the seat and put her folder back into her bag as well. She was about to get up and go over to the girl when she heard a small squeak, causing her to look up. The other girl started half-yelling questions at Sky, making her jump slightly. Sky sighed and stood up, shouldering her bag. Walking a few steps, she stopped when the other girl was about a foot or so away from her. Sky took her iPhone out of her pocket and checked the time before quickly putting it back into her pocket. “I got here about an hour ago. I heard you singing from the hallway when I went to get my folder with my homework in it and decided to check it out. I stayed because I had nothing better to do and I wanted to see how long it would take for you to notice me. You're an awesome singer by the way.”
Sky hoped that the other girl wasn't mad at her for being there. Maybe she was just kind of shocked and still frustrated because she couldn't get the notes at the end. Sky hoped that that was it because she really didn't feel like having anyone getting mad and yelling at her anymore tonight. “How many times have you sang that piece?” she asked out of curiosity. Sky leaned back against the seat behind her and tugged on the top of her green arm warmers so they wouldn't fall down. Sky looked back up at the other girl, waiting for her to say something.
