Her name is Ember, most of the time, her alters go by different names
but she's never heard them before. She's a junior here at St. Helena,
though most people don't notice her until they hear her sing. She's quiet
and likes to blend in most of the time, so that other people don't talk to her.
She doesn't hate people talking to her really, she actually loves and hates
being alone. It's more for other peoples safety if they get close to her and
one of her alters take over. She doesn't like it when the people she cares
about get hurt, especially by herself. Because of the lack of social interaction,
she's a bit awkward and clumsy when she's the center of attention. She's the kindest girl you'll ever meet though, unless you meet one of her alters first, and she's very protective of her friends, and just people in general. She can't stand
to just sit by and watch someone get harassed, it's not in her nature.
She's never really thought about her sexuality, because of obvious reasons,
and it's only since coming to this school with so many different types of people
that she's started wondering about herself. She's pretty insecure about herself
and her confidence isn't all that great, so to be questioning anything about herself
is a huge leap into the dark and that's usually a risk she doesn't take in case it triggers one of her alters.
Someone can hurt her, play with her feelings and mind,
be her friend or just an acquaintance, love her or hate her for what she is or does.

Simon wouldn't mind maybe being friends with her. They're in the same year, and Simon is just glad to talk to anyone who will tolerate him.
He's pansexual, but if she doesn't seem interested he isn't interested. He needs friends. However he is a bit self destructive, and that might be troubling for Ember, so might not stay friends with him for long. Or, alternatively, maybe she wont mind that he's messed up. He's not used to being around people who aren't 'normal' so maybe he's found a place to belong.

I think that he may be confused by her when it comes to whether he should be interested or not, especially if he doesn't realize she has MPD at first. He may think she's just playing game with him when really he just keeps meeting her alters at the wrong times. If he came up to her first I could see them being friends maybe but she wouldn't approach him first if she's in her right mind. Now if she isn't in her right mind then she may. Depends on what kind of situation you think may be good for them to meet. If you have any other ideas let me know.

Oooh, that could be neat. I could see him being very confused and then becoming frustrated and confronting her. He'd think she was messing with him the whole time and he'd be really hurt and angry, and then he'd find out about her disorder and feel like a total tit. That could be great.  |

I really love this idea now. We should do this right away. Do you think he should meet her or one of her alters first? And if you'd like you can start a thread for them to meet and stuff. I can see her getting rather hurt too because she'd only see his reactions to her alters and not know what she did. Oooo....the drama of this all.

Well, maybe they meet outside of an office while waiting for therapy? If Ember has a chatty alter maybe that could start a conversation going. Or, alternatively, Simon could be manic and super talkative.

Elena and Ember have fairly similar interests. Both love singing, fairy tales, and rain. While Elena is bound to be jealous that Ember can sing when she can't, she still likes those that love music in the same way more than other people, as it means they truly understand the things she's lost. I could see them meeting and possibly becoming friends, or something of the sort. If you have any other ideas, please tell me. For the record, Eli's pretty firmly bi, so if Ember's questioning she'd be willing to *ahem* talk to her and see if she can help her figure things out. [/blockquote] |

Haha.....talk to her you say? XD That would be interesting when they've gotten to know each other better. I believe ember would sympathize with her greatly about not being able to sing anymore. I'm just afraid Elena may hate her because she can and I'm not sure how'd they meet.

Well, they're both juniors, so they could very likely meet in a class of some kind, or because they live on the same floor. They could even be roommates. I don't think Elena would hate her, because while she is jealous of those that can sing, she she doesn't blame them for her loss. [/blockquote] |

Roommate, that's what I was thinking. It's kind of the only way I can see them meeting. I haven't signed ember up for a room yet because I was waiting to find a roommate for her. Have you signed Elena up yet?

Do you want to rp out them meeting for the first time? Ember will be pretty scared because the last thing she remember before waking up at the academy is watching cartoons at her dads house and his girlfriend yelling at her for being lazy.
