General Description: Victor is a tall, slightly tanned, lean yet well toned man in his mid-forties with brown eyes and long wavy brown hair that goes passed his ears. He's usually in his working clothes that the school issues him (a generic blue collared shirt and blue pants) but back in his closet of an office, you can catch him without the shirt and showing off the t-shirt he wore underneath.
He's not completely nearsighted but needs the aid of reading glasses sometimes, so he always keeps them in his shirt pocket for work.
Also, it's not uncommon to see him sporting off a fedora perched atop his head. It's not really part of the school's uniform that was issued for him but with how much he wears it, it might as well be.[/blockquote]

General Description: Victor holds a hard and brooding face most of the time, but if you were to ever make eye-contact with him he’ll tip his hat with an acknowledging nod and smile. In all actuality he’s not as antisocial as his demeanor might make him out to be. He’s surprisingly easy to befriend and he always enjoys chatting with anyone who stops by. However, he’s not blind towards false intentions and if your friendliness is motivated from wanting something out of him, he’ll either roll his eyes and call it out or straight-up ignore you.
Yeah, that’s another thing he does often: ignoring. Being a janitor he’s a target to many insults and snootiness so he usually tunes it out or not let it affect him. People tend to judge him harshly anyways, or disregard him as an individual at all because of his line of work. They believe he's just a miserable fuck up who couldn't get a job higher than cleaning up puke and crap, which isn’t true at all. Okay, yeah, he is a pretty big fuck up in his own right and does sometimes have to clean up questionable substances, but he's far from being unhappy or miserable. He actually loves his job. Besides the messes and spills that might make people other than him sick to their stomachs, he considers it to be a pretty sweet job. And it’s not like he couldn’t get anything better – when he applied for a job he came with the intention of being a counselor, but opted to being a janitor once he heard a job position was open for it. (We’ll get to that in a minute.)
He also does a little bit of maintenance and security around the school as well, so when some something goes wrong with the lighting, air conditioning or when a fight breaks out, he’s the one to call.
Speaking of fighting, he knows how to fight fairly well having gotten into many, many fights when he was a teen. He doesn't fight nearly as much anymore but whenever he's personally in a difficult situation he uses it for self-defense. Case in point: people have tried to mug him five times in his life. The key word here is 'tried.'
He also jokingly refers to his job as rehab since smoking and drinking is prohibited and he used to be a heavy abuser of both. Lucky he’s been ten years sober, having replaced alcohol with coffee. However he still gets cravings for cigarettes more than he does for alcohol and is therefore agitated on some days. He is also definitely NOT a morning person, so excuse him if he seems a little off at the beginning of the day. He doesn’t sleep very well at night is all.
He loves to sing. Whether he's any good at it or not is up to the listener, but he loves to sing, whistle or hum when he's working or hanging out at his desk regardless, and if you wander towards the empty halls sometimes you'll be able to hear the faint echo of his voice. He sings from old classic songs to foreign to punk to hip-hop, rap, rock and even some corny country songs. He doesn't discriminate. He loves music so much that the greatest gift you can give him is a CD. It doesn’t even matter from what artist, genre or time. It can be a random CD you got from the dollar bin for all he cares – he'd still treasure it. Likewise, if you enjoy singing or you're in a small garage band and have created your own CD, he'd ask for a copy and listen to it all day long, even giving you constructive feedback if you want. He considers his favorite songs to be those that are still a work in progress.
Even with his happy, laid-back and mature nature, he’s not impervious to mood swings, cravings or the memories from his passed, and he holds many secrets and fabricates many lies to help hide them. Even with how seemingly open and cheery he is towards people, it’s only to distract himself from all the skeletons in the closet he has to suffer with at the end of the day. However, even through all the deceitful stories and lies he might make, if he ever makes a promise to you, you’ll be damn sure that he keeps it.[/blockquote]

History: Victor didn’t have the greatest of childhoods. His parents had him when they were young, thinking that their love would last forever only for time to wear them both down. His mom would heavily abuse drugs and his father was an angry and severe alcoholic, both of them never getting help for their addictions and their addictions leading to their eventual downfall.
It would be an understatement to say Victor didn’t get along with his parents at all. And, with no strong parental figures in his life, he had to learn how to take care of himself. He started to work at a very young age, fend for himself, support himself and to an extent helped support his parents (while they’d spend their money on drugs and booze, Victor spent it on food). He went to a really run down public school, where it didn’t take much to get a passing grade, yet still caused you to get your assed kicked for being a smartass / nerd. It was only in his teen years did he finally find an escape from the constant bullshit he had to face: Music.
He found his love of music one day when he wandered into a music store, having been tempted by some album art that they had displayed on their windows. People like Pink Floyd, The Clash, The Doors, Queen, The Police, Bruce Springsteen, and AC/DC entered his life that day and the small music store he once stumbled into became his second home and eventually motivated him to buy a guitar and learn how to create music of his own.
There, he met his first ever friends, Johnny and Don, and his first ever love of his life, Rosemary. Together they all formed a band, Johnny being bass, Don on drums, Nicolette the keyboard and Victor the guitar and vocals. They called themselves Ink Stained Sleeves (Don’s high-ass idea) and recorded some of their songs for a little while. They lasted till the end of high school, where tragedy struck the group. Rosemary’s mother, the person who took care of her and protected her most, passed away.
Rose had never been mentally stable, having suffered from bipolarity and anxiety all of her life, and having the person closest her pass away was too much to bare. So, one fateful night, in a moment of utter grief and despair, she took her own life.
This hit Victor hard. He had known how much support and love she had needed and had promised himself that he would always be there for her, but in the end he had failed, unable to prevent her death. He didn’t know what he could’ve done to save or help her, and he still regrets it to this day and mourns for her death.
After her death, Victor began to drink heavily and start living an abusive lifestyle. He became increasingly withdrawn, apathetic and misanthropic towards the world, finding every little thing to hate with all of his heart and developing a chronic depression. When his mother passed away from an overdose he didn’t shed one tear. When his father passed away he didn’t even attend his funeral. He moved to a completely different state and town, where he had no job, no money, no home and was therefore forced to live on the streets. He was homeless for ten years, wallowing in his grief and hatred for the world, until one day a young girl named Nicolette and her mother approached him.
The daughter of a floweriest, she approached him tentatively and handed him a simple flower, stating that he had looked sad and wanted to cheer him up. As small and innocently sweet the jester was, it woke him up just enough to get him out of his drunken and moody stupor to realize he needed to change his life around. He started doing small jobs here and there, found a small apartment for himself, started to seek treatment for his depression and started attending the local community college. Because the college was so large and had limited resources, music wasn’t offered as a class course, so he decided to go and do the next best thing: studying to become a guidance counselor. He figured that he had spent far long living in self pity and caring only for himself when he could’ve been helping other people like how Nicolette had helped him. He transferred after two years to a state college where he finished his undergraduate and obtained a Masters in Education.
When he was 37 he went searching for a job out of a mix of necessity and wanting to finally get connected with kids and looked at St. Helena’s Academy for any positions, but after hearing that there was an opening for a janitor position he switched last minute and applied for the job. Why? Well, he enjoyed the solitude that the job offered him. After recuperating from many years of self abuse, he’s learned not to turn his back towards the world, sure, but old habits die hard and he’s grown fond of the isolation. Plus, being a janitor for St. Helena’s doesn’t restrict him from interacting with the other staff members or, more importantly, the students, so it gave him the perfect opportunity to still interact with the students and be an unofficial counselor on the side for them when they needed it and without getting paid extra. He hopes it gives them a more piece of mind that he’s genuinely trying to help them out and not being “forced” to deal with them because his job requires him too. He feels like he might be cheating the system a little but, hey, even after ten years they still haven’t complained about it. So he thinks he’s pretty much in the clear.[/blockquote]
